In the spirit of the holiday season and the new launch of Discord’s Family Center, Wicked Saints Studios and Discord are inviting players to bridge generational divides through gameplay. It’s not just about leveling up in World Reborn – it’s about leveling up relationships, gratitude, and shared experiences.
World Reborn is an interactive story game with real-world quests. Players don’t just play the hero; they become one. This irl quest — the #TogetherWeGame quest— does more than fuel your ability to save another reality from certain and utter doom (i.e., unlock in-game progression). It offers an easy, step-by-step, research-backed path to understanding, connection, and shared joy across generations, from Gen Z to Millennials to Gen X to Baby Boomers.
Along the way, Aerial Powers, WNBA champion and avid gamer, guides and mentors you with encouragement, tips, and special insights. She helps you navigate each step, celebrates your progress, and keeps the experience engaging and memorable.
Aerial has been gaming with her parents and uncle since she was a little girl. Now, as she plays professional basketball overseas in the offseason, she uses remote gaming to stay close with her family.

Why Intergenerational Play Matters
Family game nights are more than nostalgic. Research shows intergenerational play can:
Strengthen bonds, especially in families who have a harder time communicating

#TogetherWeGame turns in-game play into real-world connection. Bite-sized actions you do in the quest earn Energy, a type of in-game currency that helps you progress through the story game and unlock new experiences. Completing steps, journaling, or sharing content earns Energy, giving players a sense of achievement and motivation while building confidence and meaningful connections. How the Quest Works: Your Three-Step Journey
The quest guides players through a simple path toward meaningful interaction:
1. Reflect:
Start by learning about how games can enrich relationships across generations. Think about your favorite gaming memory, a time that a game brought you closer to the people around you. This could be family, friends, teammates, or someone else.
Tips:
Consider why people across history and cultures all over the world play games
Focus on a time when you laughed with others around a game
Write about that feeling, and how games helped you connect
2. Get Ready:
Plan your family fun game session. Choose an older family member you want to connect with. This could be a parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, guardian, older sibling, cousin, or someone from your chosen family. Decide whether to play in-person or remotely, and pick a game that works for both of you – console, video, mobile, board games, sports, or social games.
Tips:
If playing remotely, consider setting up a family Discord server for easier coordination
Double-check controllers, devices, pens, paper, snacks, or any other equipment you’ll need
Think about timing and availability so everyone can fully enjoy the session
3. Do It:
Play the game together, focusing on fun, relaxation, and shared experience. Ask questions about their life, memories, or gaming experiences to break the ice. After the session, journal reflections about what went well, what you appreciated, and what you learned about your family member.
Tips:
Notice positive moments and express gratitude.
If the conversation veers into tricky territory, use curiosity to empathize with their perspective, even if you don’t agree.
Capture screenshots, photos, or videos with consent for optional sharing and rewards.
